The nights are dropping to the low 50s so can we all agree Fall's here and the calendar is wrong? The day after our first chilly night I bumped the pink accents I tossed throughout our home last Spring in favor of fifty shades of green. So simple, but what a difference this sophisticated, rich tone brings in place of the warm, hazy hues!
Pink is the last color I ever expected to use under our roof, but what a pleasant surprise this color was! So proud of it's loyal commitment these past few months.
The only change around our home at the moment is throw pillows and a few other little decorative do-dads. I replaced linen with velvet, cotton with tweed, and pink with green. Let's take a look around!
Around the corner
The same velvet forest green pillows that I have on the couch are also used in the dining room for a bit of continuity in this open floor plan. I love to blur the line from dining room to living room, and create a flow from one to the other.
Even the kitchen got a few green nods of its own! I found this sweet forest green plaid dishtowel at the Sweet Clover Barn a few weeks ago when Cate and I had our Pop-Up Shop! Man, that place is FULL of goodies!! Can't wait to share a few more I came home with! And the green Palmolive dish soap. I mean, I kind of had to.
I love transitioning our home from one season to the next! And I love that God created 4 beautiful seasons to enjoy! There is so much gratitude in seeing the world around us doing what it was meant to do and I think of home decorating as a direct response to that gratitude. The beauty is contagious and it's hard not to want to join in and be a part of the change!
Are there any favorite colors you're using this season?! We'd love to hear what you're workin' with!
Thank you so much for stopping by, friends!
