You guys, I need to apologize. I feel like the boy who cried wolf, except I'm the girl who cried, "Oh my word, you would not BELIEVE this week's Reader Design - epiiiiiic!" I realize I get carried away in my excitement, but you just have to trust it's sincere. Every. Single. Time.
With that said, I'm particularly giddy today to be sharing the home of one of my ultimate design crushes. I've been following Lindsay of The White Buffalo Styling Co. for quite some time now, (DO NOT search The White Buffalo - totally different thing. Yiiiiiiikes....), and she is my eclectic hero. She's bohemian but not in the messy, disorganized way; she's eclectic, but with intentionality; she's cool, but not in the 'too cool for school' kind of way. Her home exudes warmth and hospitality, but with great ease and flow. It's such a delight to get to share this incredible lady's home, tucked back in Greenville, NC!
From Lindsay
I'm so honored to be sharing my home with all of you lovely readers today! For me, designing your home is a personal journey. I'm a firm believer that the only people who need to approve of your home and your style is you.
The White Buffalo is all about finding and embracing your unique and personal style. When designing rooms in our home, I try to live by my mantra, "Fly Your Style Freak Flag." I love mixing the unexpected. I have a very eclectic style where I pair rustic touches with modern and bohemian color and flair.
Every room in my home has to have warm wood, white, texture, and a pop of color. As you see in this little home tour, that always looks different in each room.
Love this simple formula, Lindsay! Let's check that list off in the bedroom here:
Warm wood --> Ridiculous log headboard
White --> Walls and base bedding
Texture --> Hello, rug of my feet's dreams
Pop of color --> Well let's see, green nighstand, multi-blue quilt, multi-striped lumbar pillow, shams, rug :)
Our little Rosie's nursery is a favorite. I went bold with the kilim painted wall and the floral curtains, but balanced it with a neutral palette elsewhere.
These are not your grandma's floral curtains, people. Say hello to modern day flower patterns!
We're in the process of renovating and designing a new home we've deemed The Buffalo Bungalow. I'm pushing my design boundaries with this one and am thrilled with where it's headed. Make sure you follow along with our renovation journey for a lot of eclectic style!
Oh, you know I'll be there! Every shameless step of the way! Thank you so much, Lindsay, for this perfectly sweet peek into your beautiful home. Hoping we'll be able to persuade you to come back and share a bit of The Buffalo Bungalow once it's finished!
Be sure to hop over and enjoy the excitement at The White Buffalo Styling Co. blog and @thewhitebuffalostylingco!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!
