Welcome to Georgetown! Or right next door to it. This charming single family home was a gem of a find when my clients were moving from apartment to a larger home while expecting their first child. Due to the constriction of time, they opted to keep many of the bolder choices left behind by the previous owners. Among these choices were the deep yellow curtains in the living room, the teal kitchen and dining light fixture, and the apricot painted nursery, (previously occupied by a little girl, and now by my clients infant boy). Incorporating my clients own style and personality into a home already boasting some strong statements was a challenge, but this turned out to be one of the most fun projects! Sometimes working within tight parameters throws you outside of your usual instincts enough to discover new things you’d never have tried otherwise! Such was the case with this home and the outcome is a totally unique vibe that feels vibrant and exciting.
