What to do with a blank box of a room when the client has an affinity for unique architectural detail and cozy nooks? Well, a canopy bed, for one thing! This one element defines this space so well and even though it is not enclosed, those four posts and roof line create this perimeter of sanctuary and rest. This bedroom receives the gift of the most glorious sunrise each morning, so to keep the glow throughout the day I decided to run with those warm colors the whole way through. This room is understated, per the clients minimalist nature, but it’s nothing short of magical.
